located about 25 miles southeast of Salt Lake City at the top of Little Cottonwood
Canyon. Alta is known for deep powder. Alta does not allow snowboarding. Beaver
Mountain: located 27 miles east of Logan, UT, in the Wasatch-Cache National

Head: it's a four-hour drive from Salt Lake City and a three-hour drive from
Las Vegas. Brian Head resort promotes a safe, relaxed atmosphere with short lines
and free skiing and snowboarding for kids under 5. Brighton
Resort: located at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, 35 minutes southeast
of downtown Salt Lake City. "Brighton is famous for its Ski and Snowboard
School." Brighton claims to have the most night skiing terrain in Utah, "with
22 runs on over 200 lighted acres." Deer
Valley Resort: located near Park City, about 36 miles from Salt Lake City
International Airport. Deer Valley was rated the top North American ski resort
by readers of SKI magazine for the third time (2007-2008). No snowboards. Park
City Mountain Resort: located at Park City, 35 miles from Salt Lake City International
Airport. This ski resort offers a wide selection of terrain and was home to the
2002 Olympic Superpipe. Powder
Mountain Winter Resort: located 19 miles northeast of Ogden and 55 miles north
of Salt Lake City International Airport. "We are renowned for untracked powder,
but a large variety of runs are groomed nightly so that every level of boarder
and skier joins in the fun." Snowbasin
Ski Resort: located in Huntsville, a 40 minute drive north from Salt Lake
City. "2,959 vertical feet of ski trails, powder bowls and lush glades cover
over 2,800 acres and truly offer terrain to suit everyone's needs." Skiers
and boarders are welcome. Snowbird
Ski and Summer Resort: located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, about 30 miles
from Salt Lake City International Airport. Snowbird is a full-service resort with
meeting and conference facilities, spa and fitness facilities, skiing and snowboarding. Solitude
Mountain Resort: located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, about 28 miles from Salt
Lake City International Airport. Solitude promotes 1200 acres of varied terrain.

Resort: located
in Provo Canyon, approximately a one-hour drive from Salt Lake City International
Airport. Sundance offers skiing, boarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and
other resort facilities for meetings, weddings and shopping. The
Canyons: located in Park City, about 31 miles from Salt Lake City International
Airport. "Utah's largest ski and snowboard resort." The Canyons boasts
3700 acres of terrain. Wolf
Creek Resort: located in Eden, about 15 miles northeast of Ogden. "One
of the best learning hills in the state of Utah." |
